Thankfulness #3

Day 3: I am thankful for the freedom to choose.

Choose what, you may ask? Choose ANYTHING. The color of my hair, towels, shoes, house. My career field. Whether or not I go back to school.  What to watch on television – or whether to HAVE a television. The best method of teaching my daughter life lessons. Whether or not to take a call.

I enjoy these freedoms, because I know not everyone has them. The choice makes me feel rich, even if I am financially poor. The choice makes me feel young, no matter how much I age. The choice makes me feel in control, no matter how chaotic life gets. I have a choice, and I choose to make the decisions carefully. And I remember the men and women who make the ability to choose possible.
